Gli scontri con i Kachin, i Karen e le altre nazioni etniche, così come le proteste dei contadini di Monywa, sfrattati per far sposto agli investitori di miniere cinesi (per l’estrazione di rame, ndr ), dimo- strano che il nuovo governo - su cui così tanti ave- vano risposto le loro speranze - è ancora lungi dal dimostrare che il paese ha imboccato la strada che per tanti anni Aung San Suu Kyi e gli altri ministri avevano richiesto ai militari.
